Gem Hammond is ready to celebrate Belle’s first Christmas. Their first Christmas as a family. She’s decking the halls, shopping, and enjoying the holiday like never before; until she gets the call.
A disappearance case she had been working on becomes personal when someone takes her best friend’s son, Jeremy, during an evacuation. Alice wants her to work the case.
      Ryan is working on disappearances in Brightway NQ. Gem and Ryan go to the scene to talk to Alice and Ryan wants to talk to the PDD on scene. With the probability of 90+ percent, they conclude they are working on the same case. They decide to team up.
     During the search for the missing boys, a body is uncovered in the same area where Jeremy was taken. The boy's life was taken in a brutal execution-style murder.          
     As the investigation proceeds, an ugly picture forms, and it horrifies Gem. She, herself, empathizes with the parents of the victims and she worries about her daughter, Belle. What would she do in a situation like this involving her daughter?
Dreams haunt her sleep, but within her dreams lie answers to questions about the case. Can she figure out the symbolism before it’s too late?
     As suspects are discovered and clues uncovered, they see that what they thought was a serial killer investigation was so much more than that. A case as terrifying as it is unbelievable.
